The trade right after a loss

Sizing up right after a loss is the most expensive habit in trading: you take a bigger position at the moment your judgement is worst.

The loss itself was fine — it was inside your risk. The next trade is where the real damage happens, because it's taken to get money back, not because the setup is there.

A short cool-off breaks the loop. Fifteen minutes away from the screen is usually enough for the urge to pass, and the market will still be there.

Your plan can enforce it: after a losing trade, TradeCompass locks new trades until the cool-off ends.

TradeCompass turns this into your own rules: it checks every trade against them and warns you before you break one.
