Stopping is part of the strategy
A daily loss limit or a loss-streak stop exists for the days your edge isn't there: choppy markets, a bad read, a bad mood. On those days the best trade is no trade.
Trades taken after the stop are rarely good ones — they're taken to finish green. Your 'if you'd kept your rules' number in Stats shows what they cost you.
On a prop account, the daily loss limit is also the firm's hard rule: one day of pushing through can end an evaluation that took weeks.
Decide now what you do when the day closes: log the trades, write one line in the review, and leave.
TradeCompass turns this into your own rules: it checks every trade against them and warns you before you break one.
